BizWorld

Club Description

Founded by legendary venture capitalist Tim Draper, BizWorld is a national organization dedicated to teaching children about the excitement of business and entrepreneurship. The program offers Wharton students an amazing opportunity to work with kids by leading grade school classroom simulations where students start their own business to design, manufacture, market, and sell real products.  All are welcome to join the Bizworld program at Wharton and help reach out to kids in the local Philadelphia community.

Club Mission

BizWorld's mission is to challenge and engage local grade school children through experiential learning programs that teach the basics of business, entrepreneurship, and money management and promote teamwork and leadership in the classroom.

Club Activities

BizWorld operates at least three programs during the school year, one per quarter during both the fall and spring semesters.  Each program covers a local Philadelphia grade school, once a week for three weeks. Each visit lasts about two hours.

There are informational sessions for volunteers to learn more about the Bizworld curriculum and also various social functions for volunteers throughout the school year.
